    Example : When Archer level reaches 3, the "Thief" job will become
 available (but only for the unit that reached level 3 on Archer).
 When Elemental Mage level reaches 5 AND Dragon Knight level reaches 5,
 "Dancer" job will become available.
    For the Samurai, Ninja, Mathematician and Imitator, I have listed 
 the prerrequisite jobs with their levels. 


    I will usually put four things in each translation:

 Japanese : The original Japanese name in Kana or Kanji (Japanese alphabets).
 Romanji : A phonetic translation of this name in Romanji (Roman alphabet).
 Translation : A literal translation, to the best of my ability.
 Effect : A translation of its effect.

    In many cases I will not be able to write down some or all of the
 Kanji in the ability's name. In these I will put a single question mark
 for each untranslated Kanji so you can match the length of the name
 and the relative position of each of the other Kanji.

    Every time I put (DS) on an ability's effect, it means that some of
 the words on that ability's description (by pushing select) hinted
 to that effect.

    Translations and effects listed with three question marks are very
 tentative and unlikely, or mean that I don't have a clue as to what
 they may be. A single question mark means I'm quite sure of that effect.

Mari Hagiwara's note : Girugame is a turtle-shaped FF5 monster. It 
  is a multiple pun made up from:

  a) "Gil" is the money unit in FF series.
  b) "game" means turtle. Rough translation: Money Turtle.
  c) And there is a species of turtle in Japan called Zenigame, named 
     for its shape resembling a coin. "Zeni" is the Japanese money unit, 
     so the meaning of Gilgame is equivalent to that of Zenigame.
  d) The Gilgame has the double-meaning of Gilgamesh and Zenigame - it 
     has the money value indicated by Zenigame, and its EXTREME 
     strength indicated by Gilgamesh.
  e) It appears in the Gil Dungeon, in which the party finds money at 
     each step forward, and the amount of money found doubles at each step.

    This job becomes available when "Apprentice" and "Item User" levels 
 reach 8, and "Elemental User", "Dragon Knight", "Talker" and "Summoner"
 levels reach 5.
    Notes about this job : The Imitator can't equip any weapon, armor
 helmet, accesory nor ability of any type except his/her own one:
 imitate. Yet this can't be used in battle: only Fight will appear in
 his/her action menu. The imitator's ability activates itself whenever
 a party member performs an attack, a magic, or some special abilities;
 then the imitator will copy that person's action, even using the same 
 weapon than him/her if it was an attack. The target for that action
 is the one that has the same relative position to the imitator as the
 original target to the original person, even having into account the
 orientation of the imitator. This action does not affect the imitator's
 own active turn, and he/she can imitate as many times in a turn as
 actions are done.

    This section covers the jobs that special characters have instead of
 Apprentice. They tend to have different names for both the job and the
 special command, but the reaction, support and movement abilities
 are the same than the Apprentice's ones.

    Ramza (�,�.�), Dirita (���o�^-�") and Argas (�>�%��1) have 
 this job.

    Note about this job: Note that the first four commands are the 
 same as that of a regular Apprentice Warrior. The next are not all
 available from the begining, and Ramza learns some of them as he 
 starts a new chapter. 

    The last one, Arutema, I got from one of the blonde assassins 
 that attack you on the roofs of a palace. She cast it on Ramza 
 and I was prompted if I wanted to learn it. I don't know if 
 there's a good side about not learning it, but of course
 I answered yes :) It is very similar to FF3US's Ultima, but much
 less powerful; around 120 HP damage (same area as regular spells). 
 It is the only ability in that command that has both MP usage and 
 charge time (10 MP, 20 Speed).

    Tatsushi Nakao's note:

    Arutema's origin is Final Fantasy II (Japanese version, not released
 in US), where Arutema was rather weak... which damage is comparable.  
 There are alot of references to FFII (such as Pandemonium, Semite's 
 Fall, etc..), so I believe this is a valid connection.
